By way of introduction my name is Madiha and this (this being troiba) is a project I have created for myself to showcase my love for all things artistic. Essentially, I created this page as a tribute to all the things that have caught my attention as I live day by day.
So why troiba? Well choosing a name for the site was the most difficult decision I made once deciding I wanted to create a portfolio. I considered using my own name, but I quickly realized I wanted to create a separate name for this project. Something standalone that sounded as aesthetically pleasing to me as the pictures I have snapped. I created a list of words that were important to me in this project and ended up focusing on: street art, photography, global, and I. I want this page to showcase my love for picture taking, showcasing pictures snapped from all over the world, and focusing on the singular perspective of “I” that you get as you snap a picture. You are essentially showing the world what it looks like to you behind the eye of the camera. After some (okay, a lot) of rearranging of letters I finally ended up with a word that sounded right and captured what I am trying to do with this site. So in the end, troiba has become a way for me to show what the world looks like through my head.
